At the other side of the world….

Stuck here with a group of 30-year-old boys in a smelly room, listening to them playing dota while I’ve just finished playing L4D with them ^^. Remember I bought a whole pile of books over to study??? Well, that’s not working out because I bought the full 6 seasons of Sex and the City TV serials and I’m hooked on it. Everytime I go back to our room and want to read my book, I end up watching Samantha or Carrie pick up new guys at the bar or something. I thought it was no big deal until I came to Facebook and read my classmates’ status updates which said that they have finished reading most of the books. Now I just want to run back to his place and start reading religiously. 😦

I guess I’ve adapted to this place cus this time round, it doesn’t feel as awkward anymore. I try to avoid staying in the shop because I don’t know Melayu and it makes my confidence level drop. Imagine someone with so much words like me became totally mute over here. I swear I’m going to learn Melayu!!!

Besides that, everything is pretty much the same. Getting bitten by the mosquitoes and eating non-tasty food… Still, it’s so much better this time, I still have the chance to eat Roti John and stuff. 🙂 But the both of us still can’t wait to get back to Sg, how’s everyone doing? I miss home already….

Back to the 90s.

Testing out my WordPress app for the first time. & embracing the thrill of Wifi while I still can. Bc in another three hours’ time i’ll be transported back to the land-of-dial-up already 😦

By the way, we just went to book the tickets back to sg. We’ll be coming home one day before my bday!!!

Had dinner w his sisters earlier on, and caught two movies in a row! Poor Leong has been deprived of movies in cinema for sucha long time. Watched “Salt” and “The Expendables”, not bad not bad at all.

Wanted to blog about Bintan but Thea is sleeping so I can’t type. She’s such a fussy sleeper, she has woken up a few times since I’m here. I wonder if it’s bc of me… I feel so guilty.

Today I woke up at 7.15am to tutor the boys’ sister for her PSLE Chinese oral exams, and then tutored the boys all the way till 11.30am. Almost dozed off while watching Luke doing his homework, haha. Now I’m still all zonked out but I have to start packing for the 1.5 week stay at Miri. Yawnz. I hate packing but yet I have to keep doing it. I haven’t even unpack from Bintan haha.

Heading over to sis’ place to stay overnight later on bc we’re leaving for KL at 5 a.m tomrrow morning. Yawnz. I hope Thea won’t cry in the middle of the night… hehe.  Will be staying at Putrajaya Marriott for a night before I fly to Miri from KL. I heard from my sis that Marriott there is only 70sgd per night! Cheap like siao!!! ^^b

Ming! I saw the your passport and all the memories of me meeting you for the first time came rushing back. Looking at you now, I don’t even rmbr your toot face back in 5HH (Hahahaha). Rmbr we’ll always hang out at P.S on saturday afternoons bc your dad works there? Eh but why your dad works there then we have to go there huh? That time zhenyee was still so small, see now she’s alr in secondary school and it’s so unbelievable. It’s been a whole 8 years!

Within the PuiGiaz (hehe), you and I are the ones who will always take super stupid pictures with our obscene poses, bc you know, the best Wan can do is stick out her long jaw. With you, we’re always LOLROFLLMAO-ing. You make me so buay tahan you, you know? But I always love having you around. Whenever I go to town, I’ll deliberately make a trip to Ion just to see if you’re working 🙂

What should I do? :(

I’ve been contemplating whether or not to go to Miri. If I go, I’ll spend an extra week and a half with him. But if I do, I won’t be able to teach the kids tuition for almost two weeks. I don’t want to forfeit that because I’ll be skipping many tuition sessions with them when I go to Cambodia. It doesn’t seem fair to the kids.

Plus the air fares and everything are insane. I don’t have much money left for this month already.

But I miss you so much, you know? If I go, I’ll be able to see you next week. Which is less than 7 days away. After two months plus of not seeing each other, do you know how glad I’m able to say I only have to wait for another 6 days to see my baby? But, I’m torn between these two decisions. To go or not to go – that really is the question.

Happy 19th birthday best friend! I’ve been celebrating your birthday since you were 13, I wish I could dig out all the pictures we took every year to laugh at, see whether your jaw has grown longer and sharper throughout the years! I love you so much and thanks for being there for me all these years, especially while we were having our exclusive the-rah-pee sessions. If it weren’t for you, something really dire would have happened to me by now. You’re my jiu ming en ren, in one way or another, haha.

We’ve been through each other’s disastrous boyfriends and now that I’m with Leong, I know you’re feeling the happiest for me bc you know me the best. And I want the same thing for you too, sooner or later (your choice ^^). Anyhoo, being around you makes me feel like I’m special bc not much people is in the same 0.00fm frequency as you do! It’s a pity I’m not spending your actual bday w you, I feel kinda sad. But at least I spent the first four hours of it with you, roaming ard Bishan neighbourhood and talking so loud for Blk 263 to hear, sitting at kopitiam munching on fishball noodles and shopping at Shop n Save looking for tampons haha. You’re my silliest and bestest and brainless friend. (Aye, we are like Spongebob and Patrick!) Hehe, anyway may your jaw shortens itself or may you save enough money to go for the highest level of jaw restructuring surgery. Shortened or not, I’ll love you all the same.

My oppa turns 21st this year!

Bro, I wanna say a huge thanks for all the things you’ve done for me, I’m really touched. Though you know I always laugh at you and I don’t seemed to take you seriously but I do, I really do. I respect you a lot bc you really put an effort in doting on us and treating us like your own sisters. I’ve never had a older brother so having you around makes up for that and I finally have a chance to get a taste of what it’s like to have a brother caring for me. Sorry that I don’t like to talk on the phone and I’m hardly online, you always have to wait for us to meet before you can get any updates on me. But you know I always care for you no matter what kind of communication methods we use, right? 🙂

I remembered when I broke up with my ex and I told you, you offered to cab down and meet me right away. Although you didn’t, but I’ll always remember. And how you and Xk celebrated my 14th birthday for me, I’ll never forget. No matter how I spent the rest of my birthdays, I still miss that birthday the most. Not because of Xk, but bc how the both of you tried all ways to make me laugh the entire night, and even got shushed by the police haha! And you stayed up all night despite having to wake up early the next morning (I still rmbr, okay) 🙂

So to thank you for giving a memorable birthday, I hope yours later on will be a blast as well. Not his birthday but his death anniversary instead.

Hey Elvis, if by any chance there’s internet and Macbook up in heaven and you googled your name and found my blog, here’s what I wanna say to you. I’m your biggest fan (…and I’ll follow you until you love me) and I love your music. You are the first man who I deemed as my idol, and as my idol I mean I know all about you, your background and listen to almost all your songs. In today’s words, I’m your stalker.

It’s a pity I couldn’t meet you in person, but I’ll continue to love you all the same! It sounds silly to type it here, my friends are going to laugh at me. But there’s a slight chance you may see this! Or your Facebook friends will give you the link. Anyway, my greatest wish is to go to Graceland, pay a visit to your grave, get married at your little chapel and stay in Heartbreak Hotel. And oh, take a walk down Elvis Presley Boulevard. I know you will definitely make my dream come true, hehe.

Restart!

I really want to start blogging again now that holidays have descended!!!

So glad we managed to crawl out of piles and piles of assignments and saw the light at the end of the tunnel – the holidays! This sem was the worst of all three sems, the assignments were given to us at one go and being a lazy worker, I had to finish the assignments all at once! That meant a huge deprivation of sleep and play and even time with my loved ones 😦

The most memorable thing of all was that Ck, Ber and I met up at 9pm the day before our presentation and worked all the way till 3am! And by that time our project wasn’t even fully done yet! But luckily for us, our hard work paid off and we got an A+ for that ^^

Anyway, now that the loooooong holidays are finally here. I want to:

1. Spend more time with my family – which I already did, I have spent 4/5 days this week with Kaizer & Thea.

2. Take time off to accompany dad to all his check-ups and scans – which I also did, the remarkable thing was I managed to wake up at 7am for his appointment!

3. Spend time with the Leong – which I’m really yearning to… it’s been almost three months since we last saw each other 😦

4. Catch up with all my friends! – Which is already in the works! (a) Kamseng oppa’s bday celebration, (b) Bintan with my favourite girls! (c) and many more lah okay! 🙂

5. Do something meaningful – Which I’m going to do in Cambodia with YEP this september!
